l4ndymac Posted April 28, 2007 Share Posted April 28, 2007 I know the mountings that are welded to the chassis are in different places on a v8 defender and 2.5 nad one ,v8 ones are further forward , but are they actually the same mounts ? Could i just cut off the mounts from the 2.5 nad position and move them forward. I have tried ordering new mounts from designa chassis but they said they dont sell them . They are different in size and shape. When I went from V8 to TDI I cut off the old ones and welded on the new ones. I ended up putting the engine in and attaching the mounts, lowering into position tack welded the mounts, removed the engine and then welded the mounts properly.
