Orange Posted October 30, 2007 Share Posted October 30, 2007 Afternoon all! No I haven't bought one, but am after some advice for my dad who has a X reg TD4 Freelander. He had a phone kit fitted by a company when the car was new, but now, having bought the car from the company, needs to change the cradle for one that fits his 'new' phone. Both cradles have a long lead with a plug on the end, so it isn't as simple as unplug the old cradle and attach the new one. The wire disappears behind the centre consol (the bit with the 3 heater controls on) and we need to remove this to get to the box of tricks. Does anyone know how? Or, if not, has anyone got a parts diagram showing all of the enevitable little retaining clips that are likely to get broken?? Llanigraham Posted October 30, 2007 Share Posted October 30, 2007 Adrian The centre section of the consul, from the 3 knobs down, is held on by 2 screws hidden behind the outer of the 3 knobs.
