land rover newbie
Hi all Im asking a question for a friend,he has a series 3 diesel land rover with a smoky engine,so he decided to flush it. Now there is oil coming out of the exhaust not to sure if it was doing it before he said it was. Has anyone any ideas of what is going on Cheers in advance
VERY OLD DISCO
The valve guides / seals are probably worn allowing oil to leak into the exaust ports, it usually shows as a fine spray of droplets. If it's very smoky then it's like a two stroke, the oil will coke up the exhaust system and leave it wet. G
