gasket
morning all, I have an E reg 90 with a TD engine, i am looking to fit a 200TDI, there are plenty available from Disco's but i know the turbo position is a problem. Does anyone know if the manifold profile on the TD block is the same as on the TDI - can i use the exhaust manifold off my TD on a Disco TDI so the turbo is held high and does not hit the bulkhead? or any advice on what to do please? Guest WALFY
From what I remember when I did mine the manifolds don't transfer across. The only problem you may have is the exhaust down pipe from the turbo. Some take the easy route and bash the footwell in. There is no need for this. I have a homemade downpipe which doesn't foul anything but you can also buy off the shelf downpipes, Steve Parker doea 1 and there is some one else on E-Bay doing them now which are a bit cheaper. JST on here has done 2 or 3 conversions that I know of so will be able to give a more definitive answer
gasket
Cheers, It will make it easier locating an engine if i can use a Disco TDI. i'll dig the welder out and knock up a down pipe depending on how it goes. Thanks
