Nanocom has become a genaral used td5 engines dignostic tool over the last few months. Probably some of you are having problems on using it, or have have some peticular expriences when using it. Ohers are considering buying one but aren't convinced yet on the practical side of the nanocom.

So I tought it would be usefull to startup a specific topic on the nano mather.

(or those who havent seen one before www.nanocom.it)

For istance the nanocom can be used as a tripmaster. Has anyone tryed this? Is there a program for using it with a laptop or a carpc rather hen on the nanocom itself?

How about tuning cars?

cheers,

Sebbe

Yes, you set it to "trip"

Yup, go to their download page and download the program for it, makes it much neater to use

you can't actually "tune" and engine with nanocom, but if you have a modified fuel file (in nanocom format) you can upload and download them. you need something like winOLS to actually change the file itself.... speak to Ian (Porny) or Pete (Bell-auto-setvices) on here for more info on that.

I only see a pdf file explaining how to intall and configure the tripmaster but n specific program for using it with a carpc.

Would it be possible to make new skins? I'm instaling a carpc with touchscreen in my defender and it would be nice to see the revcounter and other gauges in a kind of round-clock-gauge

Ah, i see what you mean.... have the trip information up on the PC screen.

Don't know about that, you'd have to contact nanocom i'd imagine. i suppose it depends on how fast the connection is between the engine, nanocom and the PC.... you could find that the rev counter isn't as spontanious as it could be.
