Additional Oil Pressure switch

Hi,

Being one that likes to monitor what is happening inside the motor i would like to install an additional oil pressure gauge. Where is the most ideal place to insert the pressure switch in the motor?

If you want to install a pressure gauge then you need a pressure sender on the engine, not a switch.

The ideal spot to install it would be in place of the factory oil pressure switch. This is the way you're supposed to measure the oil pressure according to the manufacturer (not only LR) to be able to compare the values you read against the ones in the books.

Since you need the pressure switch as well you can fork the oil pressure with a T piece and have both the switch and the sender installed.

Or you can use an intermediate piece between the oil filter and its housing that has radial threaded holes for senders.
