petbeemer Posted October 5, 2008 Share Posted October 5, 2008 Is it possibly to buy just the idler tensioner pulley for the serpentine belt rather than the hole tensioner? mine seems to be making a real racket now as the bearing is dry, i noticed when i re-cam'd it a few weeks ago, seeing as it unbolts anyhow Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DEANO3528 Posted October 5, 2008 Share Posted October 5, 2008 Assuming we are talking about the 300 Tdi lump, you can change just the idler bearing and they were less that a fiver. Some people get a slot milled in the pulley while it's apart to make getting the circlip out a bit easier.
