Rick the Spud Posted December 27, 2008 Share Posted December 27, 2008 i've read some posts on here and realize the air con system on early discos is separate from the std blower. blower only works on air con setting, when on the other fan settings (not aircon), smoke comes out the dash, presumably from the std fan motor. if i'm driving the hot air comes through the vents from being forced through by the air flow from outside, but the air con blower has no effect. any quick fix? was thinking of taking the dash apart to re-route the aircon fan through the std fan so i at least had some hot air! aircon doesn't work anyway, and i only use it for off roading!
