Hi lads,

I currrently have Disco 1 steel wheels fitted to my S3 Landy. I have been offered a full set of 5 Disco 1 Alloys for £50 and it seems to good to be true...Is is possible to fit the Disco 1 alloys to my standard series 3?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

i had to sell a set of boost alloys not so long ago because they would not fit the 110 i had but they fitted the disco fine.... think it was the brake drums that stopped them going on.... someone will be along soon to correct me if i am wrong but i would suggest if you still have drums on the rear then no...... they wont go on!! i just got a set of d1 alloys off flea bay for £30 btw... 2xgood khumos 1x good pirreli and some ditch finder supreme thing with good tread so they are easy to come by cheap!!

Disco alloys wont fit series axles without work - You can do it, but it means grinding out the centres of the rims (not a good idea IMHO) I found this out when I got a cheap set of RRC alloys for my Stage One years ago - they dont fit due to the drive flange shape and bolt pattern (even with the drums removed they still dont go on due to the very different shapes of the drive flanges involved, so it's not just the drums!).

It's your truck, but I erred on the side of caution with mine and decided that running a very heavy truck on ground out rims wasnt a good idea, especially with the family in it and opted for WOLF rims instead..........
