Mark
Quick question for the collective; Is a 200TDI discovery fuel pump - the one in the fuel tank - a high or low pressure pump? Cheers Mark
cipx2
? There's no fuel pump in the tank in either 200Tdi or 300 Tdi Discovery. There's only the fuel lift pump on the engine that sucks the fuel from the tank and then the injection pump.
white90
Plus all of the Fuel system is Low pressure before the FIP where the pipes are then metal to the injectors.
Mark
Hmmm, OK, I am getting the sender unit confused with an in tank pump then.... that makes more sense though... Cheers Mark

cipx2
Yeap, I've seen the fuel sender mistakenly advertised as being a fuel pump on some webshops. Probably that's what puzzled you.
Mark
too much thinking about freelanders and not enough thinking about discoverys...
