Fatboy
My rebuild continues.... but I'm getting frustrated with the wiring! (Although I got my wipers working yesterday and they even park themselves! ) I assumed that the headlight bulbs followed the same principal as tail/brake lights, ie: If the lower filament is lit and power is supplied to the stronger filament, the lower one goes out. I tried to suss out the three terminals on the bulb and concluded that the right one is -ve, top is full beam and left is dip but when I tried them out, the dip filament stayed on when the full beam was lit. So, tonight I've re-jigged the pilots to the relays so that dip supply goes off when full beam is lit and now, I've got two filaments lit on headlight but dim... So.... the questions are: 1. Does the dip supply go out when full beam is lit? 2. What wire goes where on the back of the bulb? Any help, gratefully received.
steve_d
Looking on the back of the bulb. Left is -ve Top is dip beam Right is high beam And no the filaments are not on together unless you operate the flash lever when the lights are on dip.
