wadey
Hi, I have recently aquired a nice 1994 Disco 300 tdi es , here in spain, I want to upgrade suspension to a 2"lift , as I use the car for work (builder), and a 3 tonne hydraulic trailor, is it necassery to buy the complete kit i.e. camber correction arms ,braided hoses etc, which is quite pricey!, or can i just upgrade the coils and springs, what are the advantages/diadvantages, also what size tyres can i go up to without rubbing and adjusting the steering stops too much?? Cheers Wade
bobtail4x4
You probably need the longer brake hoses, try the car with a lift and if you are happy it drives ok, dont bother with castor correction, some need it most dont. 235/85/16 and 265/75/16 fit with a bit of trimming on the rear arches, (camel cut)
wadey
Thanks for the reply. Maybe i'll just bite the bullet and get the full kit, any ideas on best prices, dont want to chop the body for tyres, still got to keep it tidy on the road Spanish MOT is a bit haywire here , I took a cherokee for ITV(MOT) here last year it had no power steering, the windscreen was just sat in place , wing mirrors siliconed in place, and sh%tloads of other things not right inc a massive oil leak! and it failed on a bald tyre, took the disco thru the other day which is in great cond, well serviced etc, and they were debating wether or not to fail me on the fact that I had 6 hazard lights 4 of which on the back , nuttaz!! so i stared a conversation with the inspector about football (which i know nothing about!!!), after which i drove happily out of the ITV station with my 1 year sticker and stamp. VIVA ESPANA!
