little nay Posted January 27, 2010 Share Posted January 27, 2010 hi guys, my feller has nearly finished the rebuild of the little series three. but he seems to have a reocuring issue. the switch for the headlights on the dash. he has fitted 5 and each one has given up the ghost. one fell apart before he even fitted it. none seem to last more that an few useages. so is he doing something wrong when he fits then or are they rely that naff? paulnb57 Posted January 28, 2010 Share Posted January 28, 2010 I fitted two genuine in LR packaging side/headlight switches in succession and both fell apart within days of fitting, the first the spring inside broke and the second one the backplate fell off - they are absolute rubbish and make Sh*tpart look good. Bloody incinvenient having no lights after a long day at work. In the end I bought a used old one from ebay and all is well.................
