milliejasper1111
Hi all, Last week i had a grumble on the o/s rear wheel, so i went and got a wheel bearing kit, changed it and all was well. Done about 30 miles yesterday and noticed a slight rumble on the n/s, nothing major, So today i thought i should do it, then that leaves just one front one, as i did the o/s front a few months ago. On removing the half shaft i was greeted with a wash of thick brown gloop (you know the stuff, the kind you would only ever find in a LandRover ) I took the outer bearing out, not too bad, bit rough. give the hub a good pull and out fell this What i want to know is how the hell did this manage to keep quiet for so long? Les Henson
On Disco's it's quite common for wheel bearings to get in that condition before it's noticed. Les.
