draper40
I haven't had any problems for about 4 months so the 90's finally decided it's time for something to go wrong! I changed the transfer box last weekend (to 1.22 ratios) and it has now developed a graunching sound when travelling at around 70 on the motorway or when going round corners in 4th with no power!!?? The sounds quite hard to describe but is periodic about every second and the period doesn't change depending on speed and feels like it's coming from under the drivers footwell. Does anyone have any ideas as I'm stumped? Thanks Pete
Disco-Ron
Noise going round corners........ normally means centre diff...... front and rear axles travel different distances around corners, hence the centre diff does its thing....
