Countax
Just changed my shoes and cylinders but not 100% sure if the springs were located correctly when i removed them. Currently the top spring has one end looped around the fixed pin on the backplate and the other end passes in front of the snail cam and loops onto the shoe pin that sits on the snail cam. But the spring touches the snail cam and looks like it can rub each time the brakes are applied. Is this the correct location for the top spring or should it go behind the snail cam? The manual says make a note of the locations before removing, which i did, but the rubbing on the cam does not seem right. Thx, Nigel
Countax
Just found out the answer. The top spring is located behind the snail cam and locates in the groove on the shoe pin. In this position it is clear of the cam. Nigel
