highfructosecornsyrp
This is a rather dirty 6.5na in a 110 using an NV4500 fitted to an LT230: What kind of radiator did you use? Did you upgrade the water pump or install dual thermostats? What did you do to adapt the tranny to the transfer case?
highfructosecornsyrp
Bump, anyone know what kind of radiator was used in the RRC with the 6.2? Any other cooling modifications? Know whether the 6.2 with the banks turbo will fit?
hybrid88
highfructosecornsyrp I'll have a look at what rads in mine tomorrow,I have fitted a twin electric fan setup and the temp gauge never gets to half way .
redneck
Personally speaking I wouldn't bother with the G.M. diesel and certainly not the 6.2. Having owned a dually with the 6.2, the performance is underwhelming, which is understandable being as the diesel motors were built for economy rather than performance. If I was to bother going for a swap then the Cummins would be a better option.
hybrid88
I would agree but the cummions in 1100lb against the 6.5 turbo ( 215BHP & 440 lb-ft ) at about 700lb.I have a 6.2 GMC in my 110 and has the about the same preformance as my friends TD5 but add a turbo for £300 and you should be up to 190 BPH with no promlem at all.Propane injection is another add for $700 and that will add 60 BHP straight away !!!
