Steering column change. . .

Recommended Posts

pretty straightforward really.

from memory,

  1. remove steering wheel
  2. remove dash top and binnacle
  3. remove steering lock/ignition by drilling sheer bolts
  4. undo steering uj's
  5. two bolts on end of column
  6. 3/4 bolts where it joins the bulkhead
  7. 1 bolt where it is supported on the inside behind the binnacle
  8. withdraw steering column from engine compartment.
  9. and in the haynes manual way, refitting is a reversal of the procedure

hope this helps

Well, not so easy after all, removed the servo, and now clutch master cylinder, . Obviously dash panel and wheel, had to but a groove in the bulkhead to get the car through that bolts to the dash, otherwise i reckon you need to remove the entire dash, still, nearly out now, then i gotta figure what order to get it back together. . .
