stabilizer connecting rod

Hi All

First post so here we go

my nearside stabilizer connecting rod bolt sheared off today with half the bolt in the housing.

56 plate Disco un usable when you reverse the wheel looks like its going to fall off

limped in to kwik fit thinking rod had just come loose and I saw the bolt still in the housing

they say I will need a ne hub and a load of parts that come with it had a full list of parts from landrover on a fax say whats needed

£480.00 quid to get back on the road

anyone else had any issues with this stabilizer rod

just glad it broke on a A road as on the motorway could off been realy bad

I'm not familiar with the disco 3 but have they given any reason for not being able to remove the bolt from the housing? Whatever this housing is, if it comes off the vehicle, even the worst machinist should be able to remove the sheared bolt and at worst helicoil the hole. Good luck whichever way you choose to go.
