He really has been a real gem but had the airbag go off several months ago. Brother in law put a new one in but have now only just get it reset it as MOT due but have now been told that it cant be rest due to high resistance.Does any one know what this means or what I need to do. EggNChips Posted December 10, 2013 Share Posted December 10, 2013 Once the airbag has been deployed, it's not possible to reset it. The Airbag ECU has to be replaced. It's in the RAVE manual somewhere, but can't remember where. You should be able to get a new ECU from a breaker, don't think (altho don't know for sure) that they're coded to the car.
