s3tree Posted December 18, 2013 Share Posted December 18, 2013 Please could anyone let me know which way round the seals go in a brake master cylinder for a w reg series 3 swb. The master cylinder has 74660213 on it and the fluid reservior is held on with 2 roll pins, and it is fitted with a servo. The person i got the land rover from stripped it and got the new seals but never took note which way round they went, very helpful ! .I wonder what other delights are around the corner. Serious Series Posted December 19, 2013 Share Posted December 19, 2013 The narrower end should be at the push rod end ie when pedal pressed the wider part is forced agains the cylinder wall by the fluid.
