orangev81
While towing my trialer on Saturday the engine started venting steam, I lost power and a rattling noise started along with all the engine warning lights coming on. I managed to cruise over to the side and upon opening the bonnet there was steam/smoke pouring from under the plastic rocker cover. Engine will turn over and stop repeatedly. Weeel I am no engine expert but that sounds like a dead one from the bottom end up to me. How do I tell fairly easily what is still usable when I replace it. Maverik
depending on your skills/experience, I'd say pulling the head off and removing the sump would allow access to see most area's that could have gone pop, both not particularly huge jobs in the grand scheme... What engine TD5 or 300tdi?
