I hadn't noticed when I bought the engine that the lad had made a complete screw up on the alternator and snapped the bolt off within the bracket and cracked the alternator at the top mounting hole. There's a dodgy makeshift fitting at the rear lower but he hadn't even put a bolt through the top, only leaving it held in place by the pressure of the belt.
