  1. Hi, On my speed transducer I have one cable going to the transfer box and one going to the speedo head unit, half way up to the head unit it splits and there is another wire with two pieces that look like female spade connectors does any one know what this is for also the speedo/mileage doesn't work I'm guessing this is why, also it's got a LT230 not BW, cheers. Ben

  2. I have moved the ECU on my 3.5 Dakar and it now sits in the corner of the windscreen on the passenger side so moving to beside the speedo will be simple.

If you remove the speedo binnacle you will be able to reach your arm down inside and pull the whole efi loom up through the hole.

That's a good idea, I have just ordered a new speedo binnacle so when I change that I can do the ECU at the same time, cheers. Ben

  3. Thanks for the reply's will there be enouth slack to move it next to the speedo head?, I am quite impressed with the waterproofing I have done to my v8, I can chuck a bucket of water over the dizzy/leads and it doesn't miss a beat, cheers. Ben

  4. Hi, I have just had my M.O.T glad to say that it passed :D I got two advisories both the rear shock bushes, I had replaced them 2-3 months before as they ware shot, Is there any way of getting more from them, I am using std landrover buses and have procomp +5 cheers. Ben

  5. I would at least start by getting rid of the spacers, you must have plenty of clearance for the arches.... If not can you trim the arches and fit bigger bump stops.... Fitting longer shocks will give you extra droop to compensate. What radius arms and trailling arms etc are you running.... Got any pictures...?

The radius arms, Trailling arms panhard rod etc are std, will this make a difference? here are some pics, cheers. Ben

  6. What is the actual relevance of a 6" lift...? Are you running huge rubber....?

We lifted a friends 110 6" just for a day to get 40" rubber underneath just on the standard axles.... Can you not give a body lift for some of the clearance you require, portals or anything along these lines....

What's the spec of your rangie......???

The main reason is the 35/12.50R15 BFG Muds but I find it also helps with keeping the water out due to the extra few inches, This is the breakdown of the lift +2 inch spring +2 inch spring spacers and a +2 inch body lift, Ben

  7. Hi, I have just got a second hand pair of Electric Mirrors for my 1989 rrc, the problem is that when you try to move the mirrors with the controls it blows the fuse and when you do sometimes get the mirrors to move they both move together, If you select the right one and want to move it right the left mirror will move left instead of staying still, any ideas? The mirrors are from a 1990, cheers. Ben
