my gear box was making noises same thing happening only mine was when pressing clutch mud had got into bell houseing it was every where so i changed the clutch the plate the bearing was stuck up fast and a bit melted ? when all new noises have gone

thanks for that finished crank seal put in new clutch not sure how to set up the play in the pedal any help is appreciated thanks simon

when out in the snow other day clutch was slipin iv,e taken gear box out now but when parted from engine loads of oil came out been told rear crank seal is this a big job ie does engine have to striped down to put seal in or straight forward take fly wheel off pull seal out new in and bolt back together engine is 200 tdi thanks simon
