  1. My heart goes out to you. 2 hours of hammering and probably a thousand swear words... I think we've all been in that predicament But As the saying goes... If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger hammer. Nearly every job on my D1 requires brute force and ignorance.. Hope you get there. Love your shiney new track rod.. 😀
  2. Brilliant.. Thanks for the heads up. It's a hive of information this forum. Everything you need to know all under one roof.. Catch you about. Thanks again
  3. Hardcore lol That was one of the many lessons I learnt. Don't change your box in the road. Had a few close calls with passing cars and my feet sticking out in the road as I was lying on my back getting mouthfuls of ATF . it's a definite no-no. It tastes foul. Thanks for the welcome. And good luck with the mods on yours.
  4. Taa for the welcome, Its just a V7 at the moment. It's running like a bag of hammers. Plugs I think. Will find out soon I will definitely show my face in the tool and fab section. I might learn something. Your never to thick to learn. Or is that old?
  5. mine rotted off years ago. still past it's MOT this year without them. My personal opinion, is that it's better without them. You don't get big stones and mud jammed in between the brake disc and the backing plate..
  6. Well done. I felt your pain along the way. is it time for a celebratory beer?
  7. Hi all. Just thought it would be polite to say hello. I am the proud owner of a 94 D1 3.9efi. I'm a fabricator by trade so if anybody needs welding tips or advice give me a shout. I have also just had recent experience in changing a zf4hp22 box and torque convertor for a nice shiney one from Ashcroft and I've also got a Ashcroft transfer box in. I learned the hard way how not to fit them. So, if you need to know not what to do, give me a shout on that also. First tip top on changing auto box. 1. Set fire to your Haynes manual.
