  1. I witnessed the fault on sat, At first we thought water inhalation as it was parked all day with the rain lashing down on the exposed air filter , It was very lumpy at first with a lot of white smoke but soon cleared without any performance or running issues.

So it would seem that this would illiminate any mis-timed issues ,But advised checking the timing once more to be 100% as miss timed engines will smoke but usualy not intermitantly as Ian has confirmed .

So a weak injector was suggested dribbling into the bore when switched off for a while ,One sure way of testing is to whip em out and look for dampness on the nozzle and get them tested .

  2. Im waiting for Vodafone to get them in on contract , They currently do not list them on their site , But as my contract ran out last april I have been looking for a replacement for my 6230 and it seems that they dont offer any robust phones at the present time .

I have heard good feedback about the 3270 and they are ciderproof . ;)

  3. I can bring a footpump or compressor for Mr Lovejoy :P

Neil , Stick me down for Marshal duties ,I guess the rest of the usual suspects will be as well .

Im glad they have moved it to Shepton Mallett ,Its a far better venue with better facilities as well , Oh ! and its just down the road . ;)

  4. Or alternatively if your not shy about spending a few quid the snapon man does a lovely set of sockets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drives respectively covering m5 to m20 taps. VERY nice but you have to have a great amount of will power to stop you using the rattle gun on them when your in a tiddle/hurry/sweat/tight space!!!!

These are excellent , I bought a set last year .

  5. Nige , Dont look that bad :D

If that was on an Hgv , I would have sent it on again :lol:

There was a product on the market years ago to acompany a ceramic clutch , A flywheel saver , It was a bolt on shim , But they were carp and never realy took off

  6. Mike , if you are confident enough to carry out the job its simple ,

It can be done in situ without removing the FIP , You will have to lock the pump shaft by removing the locking plate on the side of the pump and screwing the bolt back in to secure the shaft, remove the pulley , Get a sharp narrow centre punch or a panel pin and peirce the seal , Screw a self tapping screw into the pierced hole and extractthe seal with pliers ,

Make sure there is no surface rust on the shaft ,then simply fit the new seal . The rest is a reverse of what you have done .

    The seal is about £4

  7. I had a great weekend down at the Show , The location is superb far better than any other show ground I have been too , The craic was good and the company was excellent .

Thanks to Matt,Brookers and the rest of the Extreme Off Road team firstly for inviting us to marshall the very well laid out course and for looking after us with food and drink and also for accomadating the Innovate stand next to the course .

Thanks to Luvvers for providing some quality entertainment for the crowds on saturday afternoon :D:D

I realise that a lot were dissapointed by the size of the show ,But remember its a first for the location and with all things it can only get better with time ,Publicity, Good support from the bigger traders and clubs and most of all from the punters .

Also I think it would benefit from running the show for all marques of 4x4 not just one .

I do hope it comes back to the Royal Bath & West Showground next year , We will deffo be there again .
