  1. It may have been different for some reason 25k sticks in my mind.
  2. It had never been road registered when I sold her, so never had a reg. Max
  3. Hello all, a few years back (2009) I sold a Red Series III SWB Pickup to a member on here called 'Stuntman', it seems he has ceased posting on here now. Just out of interest I would love to see what happened to her (He was rebuilding her the last time I heard anything), If anyone has any pictures or details please let me know! Abit more about the truck: Was a Series III SWB Pick up, had never been road registered and as far as I knew there was no VIN plate. Was red with a 2.25 petrol engine (I think this was going to be changed for a diesel unit) I Think but am not sure she had about 25k on the clock. Any info would be great. Cheers; Max
  4. Looking forward to seeing my old truck on the road! Max Hope you enjoy it as much as i did!
  5. Hello! Because something in the landy keeps draining the battery i think i should put a Master switch in. Am i right in thinking: 1.Remove battery 2. Add extra +ive cable to the cockpit. 3. Install The master switch. (attach the red wire to it) 4. Then put More red wire back to the terminal. 5. Reconnect the battery and bobs your uncle! Am i right? I would just like to drill a whole and have one of those big red switches somewhere in the cab. Where can i buy the red (+ive) cable from and the master switch? Thanks Max Now on to my other question! How much does it cost for me to send my engine and gearbox of to a company to recondition it? Also who provides this service and does it include a repaint?(on the engine) Thanks Max

  12. School give me Sophos for free!!! But when i had it on my old HP laptop it was slow and rubbish!! Get OSX or a Mac only one virus for the whole thing that uses iChat (which BTW never gets used unless you have a mobile me account!!) Or one of those USB computers on the gadget show a Pico mini comp Mini Computer It runs virus software of your PC so that it doesnt slow it down and makes your computer invisible to the outside world! Max
  13. Where can i buy a set from or do i have to make it myself? Max
  14. My series three has 'ran out of fuel' twice in last week and i've come to refill the next day and it won't start. The battery has gone flat so what other options do i have to start it bump doesn't work for some reason and jump start nooo! So is a hand crank a viable option? Thanks Max
  15. Max Series-3

    Ignition

Mine still runs when i remove the key so must be all series or a common problem (i have a series 3 petrol) Max
  16. I tightened up the hinges today but fatigue means that 2 of the four screws / bolts on the door have been replaced (new bolts) but the two that are left are shocking they have been rounded off and rusted away so i can't get a screw driver to get them out! Also The one door top is fixed (abit!! ) but the other (drivers side) has been replaced and used some sort a metal plate with holes in and just been 'screwed' on. Thanks Max
  17. How do you put the yellow one down? (i sound like an idiot!) Everytime i puch it down it pops back up again, do i have to push down and twist? Max
  18. In my series III what do the levers do one of them is 4 wheel drive and the other Diff?? How do you apply the yellow one push down and turn?! I probably sound like a complete idiot but i don't know! Tops of doors shaking one is held on by screw and the other by nut and bolt. Is it just tighten them up?! Also the door isn't closing properly and flying open when going round a corner! Thanks Max
  19. I picked up my landy today! 65mph in the slow lane with the series 3 on the back and mums Disco 3 chugging along in front! (got a few heads turning!) I'm really please with it and drove it first time! I'm looking forward to doing it up (the doors fly open ect!) Also where is the chassis number on a series 3 (if vin plate has been removed is it embossed else where?) Max :)
  20. Surely they will change that in the future though! I mean this whole hippy green thing keep old cars to save the world! I mean yes they do 18mpg but hey! Oh well we can only use them for so long before we all drive dun dun dun Toyota prius! Max
  21. Well i have now found out that it is a 74-75 model. So i think its exempt! Max
  22. How much do new heads cost and where can i get them from MM 4x4? Just they are based in worcester on the way to school! Max
  23. Ok thanks! It's much better here than another forum! I join another forum as it was first up on google n they ripped the pee out of me! So i came here and your all much nicer here! Ok i'll probably use an additive in the fuel! Thanks Max
  24. Im not joking! The guy doesn't know Quote: Max I have as much knowledge as you. As I said I believe it is a 1974 -1975 model. Un-leaded didn't really come into the UK until 1985 onwards. So it's a fairly safe bet to use un-leaded with additive or 4 star. So just checking! max
