  1. normally the compressor output is weak,as the piston ring is made of plastic for some unfathomable reason.on the plus side somewhere on the web steel pistonring kits are available the US i think.

  2. hi there just a thought, but could you not mount a standard 90 tub in the standard place and just (i say just) make the doors 7 inches longer, and make a filler panel from the seat box to the tub bulkhead.you will still have to lenghen the roof, but you would end up with better seat recline and some storage space behind the seats?

  3. Er, no as I havent heard of those before, can you describe?

between each injector you will find a fabric coverd rubber pipe, (the spill return)this takes unused fuel back to the tank, although this is the low pressure side of the fuel system it will draw in air, leading to extended cranking, you may not think there is any thing wrong with them, but they are cheap and easy to change.(push fit) if that fails to do it, the pump pick up can spilt and draw in air but this only happens(generaly) at one fuel level and is much morework to check(tank out  ) and lots more money :(

  4. I think that's the seal for the filler neck-to-inside of bodywork (to stop the filler neck vibrating against the body). The fuel filler seal is a continual ring with no holes in it. If the seal is just worn, then sometimes turning it over cures the problem. You could try that and would know straight away if it cures the problem. I don't think you can buy the seal seperately. Is the cap a tight fit? If not, then carefully bend the steel tabs to increase the seal pressure (bend them a small amount towards the seal).

    Les.

I think that one of the two diesel sedimentor seals (200/300 tdi) fits the bill very well.
