  1. Good to read that im not the only one where the main shaft wont slip into the clutch splines... But any idea how much pressure and force the main shaft or the gearbox would stand... Hope i dont damaged anything. Gearbox fitted now with lot of tries

Hi, after changing my clutch at my 300 tdi, the input shaft maybe at the clutch splines , i torqued some bolts from the gearbox bell housing to enginge and dont realised that the shaft slipped in.I greased it with some copper grease. After loosen bolts and spin a bit the crankshaft bolt it slipped in.So it is possible that i dammaged the input shaft or the clutch?
  3. Hi There, i‘m new here and got a defender 130 from 98 with rust problems. One part is done, one weld by me with mig and the rest by a proffessional with wig. I‘m a bit nervous about the weld i done ,and maybe it got lack of penetration. Hope its stable enough, its marked in the picture below.
