  1. Hi all, i know the peferred tuning box on here for the freelander TD4 is the Synergy 2 tuning box but i managed to get hold of a venom tuning box for a reasonable price, my freelande ris going in under warranty for some work so the box isn't fitted yet, just wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with it yourselves??????
  2. Hi again, firstly I would like to apologise for the lack of contribution on my behalf, basically I have little to no experience with landrovers but I do read posts and would love to join in..... Ok here goes my latest problem, When I allow my freelander 2005 TD4 to go to full temperature and part cool back to say a quater of the temp gauge it idles so so lumpy, its almost unbareable, here goes the weird part when i turn the blowers off the car runs so much smoother, nearly completely smooth?????? The idle problem does not occur at all when cold or hot just when it is allowed to part cool, oh it seems to misfire and run on 3 cyclinders when completely cold, generally first thing in the morning ( I have included this as extra information). So I guess I have two questions firstly does anyone know why it idles to bad when allowed to part cool????? And secondly why does turning the fans on or off seem to affect the idle???? Regards Stuart
  3. Hi again, firstly apologies for asking so many questions, I haven't the first clue about running a 4wd or a landrover!!!!! This may be a bit hard to describe so here goes........ at low revs say 1500 to 2000 revs there is a hesitation hard to explain, there is little to no power until it kicks back in, it does it in all gears on pull off and when driving. That wasn't the best of descriptions so I was wondering if this was normal turbo lag or something else?????
  4. Hi all as a newbie to the world of landrovers I have a freelander td4 estate an 05 plate, when starting from cold (I mean cold weather) it is a bit of anightmare to get going and sometimes cuts out, starts again when cranked over??? Is this simply a glow plug issue or is there other problems to be looking for?????
  5. hi matt its a tuning box designed i think for the td4, i think it may be for other engines as well. I am new to freelanders and the td4 i have just converted from vauxhall so I am learning, i have it installed now giving vast improvments on power its a big difference and does seem to be giving me more mpg.....Apart from the apparent flat spot (if it is a flat spot) the tuning box in my opinion is well worth the money
  6. Just a quickie......Am I correct in thinking both the front and rear speakers are 6.5"? Also they do not need adaptors to fit them in, new speakers should fit straight in????? Oh forgot to add I got a freelander 2005 station wagon 5 door
  7. Hi all, well I invested in the Synergy 2 module for my 2005 freelander td4, the results are great, it pulls like a train and does do better mpg, what I have found though is there seems to be a hesitation/flat spot around 1500 revs when increasing the throttle, i dont mean flooring it just increasing, once they reach over 2000 revs its goes like a train. Is this normal or should I be adjusting the settings?? I have gone from setting 2 to 9 and now back down to 4??? Any ideas
  8. Hi all, I am new to the site so please be gentle I have had my freelander td4 2005 model now for a couple of days, I have noticed grinding....grating noise when i brake. Is it simply the pads and discs or both????? I do have a warranty just like to be armed with a few ideas before I ring them
