Hi Iam looking at trading my 200 tdi defender and picking up a late model td5. Is there a year model I should look at and what I should know about the engine? I have done a lot of work to my 2oo but Iam just looking to buy a truck that will give me hassle free run. god take pity on my wife but she said I should my a toyota. she said the only part she see of me is my legs sticking out of uder my 200 tdi. are the LR engines just as good? thanks chris

Hi I had the same problem. I had compression ring broken and was blowing oil to air filter. take off oil cap while engine is running you will hear and feel if you have this problem
