I've got Compomotive alloys on drums mine.
You can get them from Devon 4x4

I've goat the Iron Goat dash in mine.
It's nice enough looking but I just feel like I've been seriously ripped off after seeing products like the Raptor dash come on the market.
The Raptor one is a far better looking product and a third of the price of the Canadian dash.
Defo gonna get one for my next LR!

I made my own with an old set of jump leads and a couple of grey 175amp (i think) Anderson plugs.
I also carry an extra set of jump leads to give a little extra reach if I'm in an awkward position.
£99 for them? Nah, make your own for about 30 quid!!
No brainer really, lol

I've just changed my old 45amp A127 for a 65amp for about £50 on exchange.
Bargain!

I've come back from Bearmach with a new belt, I took the old one they gave me with me and it's a good 1/2 inch longer than the one I needed.
2 new fan belts too (well you never know)!
-
It seems pretty tight but there could just be enough slack to make the difference.
Looks like a trip to Bearmach after dropping my boys off in a mo, hopefully they give me the right one this time!
Cheers for the replies fellas

On the steering pump it's just a case of pulling the pump over until the belt's tight and doing the 3 bolts up again.
I did have a spare but the one bearmach gave me was too big so I've had to put the old one back one, I guess it could be a bit stretched & slipping slightly

Morning!!
I changed my fan belt the other day on my NA wich means getting the steering pump belt off 1st. Got it all back together, belts on properly as I've done several time before.
Now I've got very noisy and juddery steering which is confusing me because both belts are on correctly but it still feels like the steering belt is slipping.
It gets worse the further round I steer, particularly left.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Yeah, excellent bits of kit and you can build them to fit where you want.
Not cheap though:

Morning
Are you budgeting for general maintenance & upkeep too. There's always something that needs doing, especially to the older vehicles. If you're planning to rebuild your mini then you'll need to keep some cash aside "just in case"
As others have said it will be slow and noisey on motorway journeys. I'm used to it in mine now (it's all part of the fun)!!
I like those seats but why paint the servo & heater? lol

Had a great but short day. I had to leave early due to feeling very ill and spent the rest of Sat and all of Sun in bed.
Gutted I missed the BBQ
Thanks for the bolts Paul

I just have a bog standard roof bar with 4 x 55w ring spots on them.
The sit slightly below the top lip of the windscreen and give off more than enough light.
I have them on a 3 way switch to come on with my full beam or off completely.
The whole lot sits well below the line of the roof itself.

While we're on the subject,
Happy bunny today
I just rang that top fella at Lasalle again (it's been about a year since our last chat)
In about 4 weeks doublecab headinings will be available from them at around £250, that's less than a single section from LR!!
Apparently it'll include speaker sections too.
I'm off to look in the boys piggy banks!

I've been running my ex-MOD 110 with an N/A in for almost 3 years now.
Apart from the problems I've caused myself (headgasket failure, fire, ect....) I have no complaints at all.

I rang Guy Salmon LR about headlining for my home made DC.
They quote me £198 + vat for the back bit
And £298 + vat for the front bit
Or was it the other way round? can't remember now!!
Anyhoo, I'm waiting for Lasalle to start running off DC linings
Quality stuff

Craddocks had a few of the sections on eblag recently for peantuts.
I've heard good things about Lasalle from people who've used them, I talk to them every now and then just to see if they're making DC headlining yet (nope).
Really nice bloke who's always up for a chat.

I had the same problem as you, I take it you have the mantek wing top snorkel.
I tried for a few weeks to fit mine, I've still got a huge hole in the top of the wing. I've now covered it in tread plate.
I packed in trying in the end and flogged it, I've now bought a Safari Snorkel (200tdi) which isn't yet completely fitted. I had to source the side vent internals which LR don't sell anymore.
It looks alot easier to go in under the washer bottle than to fart about with the heater matrix.
If you go down this route you'll also need a hose reducer (75mm - 63mm) for the air filter intake.
Hope this helps

Arfnoon all
I don't half wish this thread was started 12 months ago.
I got bought the Iron Goat dash (kerching)!! and to be honest the Raptor one looks a great deal better. The biggest drawback with the IG version is that everything has it's place already decided for you when you get it, Radio, rockers ect..
I've now got the Roof console from TBRUK which adds room for the CB plus much better interior lighting and a small storage locker.
I'm loving my set up now but could've saved myself a fortune if I'd known about the Raptor one.

Keep the N/A!!
Don't go putting in one of those pansey tdi thingmeebobs, you'll never get the girls!!

I managed to sort my death wobble by changing the damper and panard rod, the movement on the bush was shocking.
I still get a slight wobble but nothing like it was.
-
They look cracking!!!
Nice job
Does it look like you'll have any issues with head room / leg room?
They look like they're slightly too far back for mine since doing the DC conversion

When I got mine from ATS they had a buy 3 get one free offer on. IIRC it worked out about £300 inc fitting
-
I've got mine from ATS and Kwikfit in the past, they're not hard to get hold of.

Thanks Bieny
Defo getting one of those for my roofrack for the rally!
I assume the rim either sits upside down or you need some pretty ong bolts.
