is that the breather return pipe from the plastic breather in the head? and yes it should definatley have a clip on the bottom

the gearbox is different, the engine will fit straight to ure original box, on the standard mounts, ul have to alter the exhaust and drop the rad mounts to fit the rad/intercooler in, all wiring is pretty much the same, change the fuel filter assembly, there are loads of guides on here already have a nose ul find exactly what you need

out everytime, i paid 125 pound per corner for my bf ats, im proud to have them there as i rate these the best money can buy for there purpose, if id have bout cheap and nasty insa turbo at copys or general something or others then fair enough, but to wear these white side out is always the way

im with aragon, ive tried numerous kits on the back of various landies in the past and have never been satisfied. ive put ome +5.5 shocks and mounts off gwyn o the back of my disco and there awesome. more articulation than you can really put to use and a great on road ride. wouldnt bother with nothing else anymore. will be visiting him shortly to purchase the front end setup ready to put the lot over onto my new defender. the ome shocks were about 80 quid each but he does do the pro comps and rough countries aswell. granted not half the shock the omes are, but still very worthwile

is there such a thing as a cold climate thermostat available for the 200??? my mates got a 88oc one in his, all checks about the heaters have been carried out as per the previous postings on here, it has a new matrix fitted, all cables are adjusted etc etc but the heater is proper rubbish, worse than usual. the heater hoses dont seem to get as hot as the top hose does so was just wandering whether there is a slightly hotter running stat availble anywhere to divert some more water through th matrix!! cheers

what exactly is the difference between sag and sat tyres?? does anyone have any pics for comparison for me?? thanks
-
these are exactly what i was lookking for! they seem somewhat slighty more agressive than the old sats, might just be me, ive done some investgating and opinion seems to be that they no longer make them, i have emailed so wel see what happens. be a real shame if not as im runnin out of places to look for a set, id like 5 if possible!

thanks il keep you in mind if the deal comes off, fingers crossed

might have my hands on a lightweight 2 use as a shooting truck, i remember seeing cheep 600 or 750 16 mud plugga tyres in the landrover mag a few years ago, cheap and incredible chunky, bit like the sat tyres, does anyone know where these are still available??

when i changed the pum on the 90 i did not see the need for unsightly hole cutting, simply grind the heads of the steel rivets around the outside of the loadbed, then drill out the spotwelds along the back end of the floor pan etc, these hold the floor to the strengthening bars under neath, you can then prize up the floor pane and prop. all it takes then is to cut out a small section of the strengthener above the pump to get it out, put it back with 3/16 small head rivets and a handful of large head rivets across the back. job done in not that long and looks the biz

did you remove the pump by taking the pulley off the 3 pins or the one big one on the front?
-
hi, no the light doesnt come on but the linkages are fuly int he in position under neath, i know its not in because ive checked, jack one front wheel up and spin, if it was engaged it would lock, like my disco does, knock it out an it will free wheel, may have to try the warm oil method, but did the lever move or was it solid as the internal lever moves freely on this? mite get my hands on it for an afternoon go playing see what will occur, does any one have an exploded diagram of the setup incase that doesnt work? i understand theres a spring loaded mechanism to engage wen it is suitable so wondering whether the spring has broken or such like thanks

my uncle rang me this morning to say that his recently acquired 300 tdi 90 would not climb the bank out of his house due to the snow they had had. i made sure hed got it in difflock but still nothing so i popped up 2 give him a tow, after more investigation this afternoon diflock is not engaging at all, ive checked all linkages and it goes in all the way, but does not engage??? ive never had one of these apart so am unsure of the layout but are there any comon problems that could do this?? cheers

hi yes injector loom replaced, fuel pump silent
-
i do believe that there are problems with the fuel pressure reg on the td5s, does this sound feasable?? its had the conplete engine loom and i opened the ecu up and it was clean, we shall have to see what monday brings
-
my aunties disco td5 started missing last week and had no power, eventually it stopped completley and would just kick but not fire, we investigated and found oil in the ecu wiring harness, this has been replaced and although it was a little awkward to start at first, it ran and has done perfectly for two days. today though it eturned to its former self, missing and no power atall, any ideas?? i was sure we were on to a winner but does not seem so

id try doing a few miles in it, if there new discs and pads theyl take some time to bed in and give correct readings
-
just to point out a few anorachy things..... if its a 1986 then its technicaly a 90 not a defender, few minor diferences, and it will be fitted with a 2.5 not a 2.25 diesel. sorry to point this out but i like to point stuff out!!!

i know of some one who has just rebuilt a gm v8 in a 110, its fitted with a 6k autobox of unknown to me make, theres a warning on the dash of the guy who owns it to 'accelarate from standstill slowly' as if you giv it even a little 2 much toe it snaps halfshafts like carrots, it does sound bloody good tho!!!!!
-
hi mudstuff dont stock them no more but you cn get them from devon 4x4, there about 60 pound

had a look today and our scanner wont read injector data for some reason, i rang our local landrover specialist to ask there opinion which was injectors, i asked whetehr there was any adjustment and was told no, i removed the rocker box just to get myself aquainted with the setup and see that there is adjustment at the top of the injectors, how do you measure these and what shouldbthey be set to?
-
unsure as yet, will hav a nose tomorow wen it comes in, what should they read?
-
got a td5 90 in tomorow with a rough idle, in the last 6 months its had new injector harness and wiring loom after it started running on 3 cylinders, it then died completely so had a new fuel pump and filter fitted, it sems to go well but as i say just runs rough at idle. ive just been reading posts on here an see mentioned checking injectors are adjusted correctly, ive never heard of this so just wandered whether this could be causing me problems, if so how do i go about making adjustments??

weve just put arb lockers in my mates challenge 90 after it chewed the back diff, we bought them secondhand built up in series 3 diffs, prob is now its horrendously low geared, i take it the originals were 3.54's?????? what are these series diesel ones likely to be an is there one we can use as an inbetween?? see its very good offroad as it is but painful on the road. cheers
