    Light Bar

I was looking around the LR 4X4 web site and i see loads of usefull tips and things to do with a disco. I was looking for any information from anyone who may have made their own light bar for the roof. Any photo's would be a help. I was going to get a new one but i now have a new mig and thought i would have a little play (with the mig that is)
  3. Hi John.....all togather i must have spent about 5 hours on this bloody thing today. Your right it is a bas***d of a job. I've got the bit that you can see ok, but its the bit you can not see, the bit behind the assembly, thats been the "little monkey". Apart from needing 3 hands and been able to bend all your fingers in every direction i just can not do it with out a pic. I was looking at the RAVE cd on ebay tonight....its only £3.75 but my pay pall thing dont work. I think the wife has put a stop to it.....carnt think why????( who ....me love..........no carnt be me darling. Must be one of the kids ) Any help john.....would be a big help - thanks mate
  4. Hi everyone. I am having a few problems with the tailgate lock assembly on my disco 200. I can only open the back door from the inside. I have put a new assembly. There in nothing wrong with the lock, its all the rods and 't' bars. I have put it all togather then i noticed i had left one of the gold coloured 't' bars out. That may explane why i still can not open it from the outside. Has any one got any pictures or photos of how it all goes togather? Ive spent 4 hours on it today and can i get it to work correctley? no! I need a picture so i can get it back togather right. Any help. You can email me if you have a picture: fos1@hotmail.co.uk Thanks - PAUL

  6. Hi. I have a 200 tdi ('L' reg). I know very little about the Discovery. I got it to pull the horse box, from ebay. No tax or test. It needed a little work, i thought it would give me something to do at the weekend. Yes its fair to say am now hooked. A new gear box and transfer box were fitted. Done that no problem (its a heavy bugger). Put 2 sun roofs in. New inerior, carpets and the front end from the 300 (far better lighting on the road). Bull bar was next and now i need a light bar for the roof. I was amazed at how cheep the parts were. But its about ready to go for the M.O.T. Its like been stood before the crown court judge.....ready for him to dish out the punishment !! But what i would like to know any points that they fail the test on. If i can do them before it goes it looks better and saves me money on the retest. Thanks
