Yes it is just pressed in.you may need a proper puller.
You also need a spacer to fit the 4 bolt flange - it does not fit straight on.
Good luck.

Forgive me - by 'radius arms' I meant the front suspension arms.
I thought the rears were generally called trailing arms.
If the rears vary, then its likely the fronts will too.
Any definite info?

North off Road.
Went to Donnington indoor show and saw Whitbead,NOR and QT truckcab cages all close together fitted to vehicles.
That day made up my mind with no room for doubt - NOR was the best fitting by far.
The one I bought is still hanging on the wall in my workshop, waiting for a vehicle which to grace - so I cant post a usefull pic.
Devon 4x4 cages look good - made by P&P I think - a bit more expensive.

I went to fit a 300tdi axle (complete with radius arms) to my old RR two door chassis this evening, and noticed that the old bushes on the chassis appear to be a different size, both internal and external diameter, from the ones on the arms.
The older spec bushes are smaller on both diameters by about 3 mm.
Is there more than one size bush?
I can assemble the 300arms/300bushes/chassis with a little persuasion, but will this cause any problems if the bushes are too big for the chassis holes?
Thanks , Jerry.

could he not use some chunky angle? have seem people use it?
He has a Disco to break - cut the mounts off the disco - thats what I did.

Billvansnorkle - who we haven't seen on here for some time - reported a preference for negative Ackerman angles on his off-roader.
Specifically,he thought negative angles were no reason not to move the track-rod to the front of a coiler axle for use on a series.
Where are you Bill?

Alfred Murry/4x4winches/Alan Byrne were meant to be taking up manufacture of the Maxidrive PTO.
But I heard some strange rumors about Mr.Byrne,so I don't know if it will happen.
Superwinch still make theirs - but a bit pricey.
I picked one up on ebay a while back. They are fairly common on utilities Defenders.

Mine is still hanging around. N reg 300 Disco.
See For Sale section for photo.
Axles have gone.Head warped.Front wings, grill panel and headlights gone.
You can have the chassis, body, interior, gearbox and transfer box for £250.

My workshop was broken into two weeks ago.Five thousand pounds worth of garage tools, carpentry tools and general building stuff.
Seven properties in a row all done over.
I know of four other similar robberies locally just last week.
Several police officers have commented on the sudden increase in robbery with the sudden drop in the price of scrap.

Here,s mine.Should keep me busy over Christmas.
Will post up some more pics when there is more of of it.
(to be honest,it will be a 100" series 2a,300tdi with lt77,but I just got excited by the 100" topic.)

For a ferry booking call Allsport logistics - 01873 850025 .Very helpful chap, very cheap (like - half price).
Cork city is a pleasant lively city, but if you have the time head for County Clare (I'm biassed,I used to live there) and Galway city.
East Clare has the best music in Ireland, and West Clare the best coast.
Don't know about off-roading in Ireland, but you could try contacting someone from Munster4x4.com (Freddy Stryker, perhaps) - I have just recently come back from The Three Peaks Challenge organised by them, and can vouch for their being the most freindly and helpful people you could wish to meet.
Enjoy your Holiday. Jerry.

Just got back this morning 6.00 am.
Excellent event in every way.
First visit for each of the eight members of our team from Gloucestershire.I think we are all planning on being back next October,if not before.
Having some mechanical issues on Friday night (and Saturday, and Sunday).
Ready to head home.

Standard Viton o rings are oil and grease resistant, and available in just about any size.I think its abrasion that will wear anything compliant on the end of the series gear stick.

Invariably in winter-time I cannot get the lock to open due to frozen water in the mechanism.
Graphite is a good friction reducing agent for lock parts, but will do nothing to stop water ingress and freezing.

I was there.small but good.
Didn't sell much, but bought quite a bit .Thats not whats meant to happen.
Got a good bulkhead for the new project, some cheap axle ends, and a new fire extinguisher.
Shame about the weather, but this event could replace Sodbury as THE event for the south of England.

Daan on here has done it,but he shortened the chassis to 88".It turned out to be an excellent truck.
Its an excellent project - don't listen to the moaning old gits. I think it may be a lot of work!

Also would it be relatively straightforward to fit the axles after suitable mods to allow the use of parabolic springs. Using coils is not really an option as it has a galvanised chassis and i do not want to modify this but i can weld the axles if required.
Any help or advice would be gratefully received.
I have a 300 and lt77 in my 88" 2a,so yes is all possible, and fairly simple.Feel free to ask any specific questions.
The best thing you could do,with regard to the axles,is buy the 24 spline disco/RR axles which I have already converted for parabolic use;or even simpler - just swap your RR axles for mine.
Lots of love, Jericho.

Superwinch make mechanical and hydraulic pto adapters for lt230 transfer boxes.
Quite expensive new - from around £500 to £800.
Rotech in devon fit-out alot of utilities defenders with superwinch kit.Give them a call for advice.

I started this pole because I'm concerned for the safety of my co-driver and others who are potentially at risk from the use of winch sails.
I do see your point Andy and yes a sail is a good idea to indicate that a winch line is in use. However the level of risk imposed on the co-driver when repositioning this sail can in most situations outweighs the reason to using a sail in the first place.
As an occasional co-driver,Chris's comments sum up my view completely.
The requirement to keep a winch sail positioned at the centre of a line throughout a pull exposes the co-driver to more danger than any other operation in the normal course of competition.
Such a requirement cannot be called a safety measure - it is an actual introduction of danger.

The bulkhead and windscreen are series2/2a ,so I would assume the series 3 wings are a later addition.
1967 certainly says 2a.

I spent a week on Harris at Newyear, and spent Christmas and Newyear there a few years back.
It is stunningly beautiful in a barren moonscape way.It has alot more character than Lewis, which gets more visitors.
North Harris has some great hills if you like a challenging walk.South Harris has an amazing coast line - beautiful sandy beaches on the west, and fjiord like bare rock on the east. You can drive right round south Harris in a day.
It is surely one of the most beautiful places in the British Isles, but has the melancholy air of a dying community, and the stong influence of presbyterianism means there are very few pubs, and indeed, the playgrounds are closed on Sunday.
The whole of the west coast of Scottland is,for me,particularly in winter,Heaven.

I had a 300 in my 2a on the 2a box with 3.45 diffs - I found the gearing too high for offroad driving,so I fitted an lt77.
