Hi Nige, What is happening about this ? My standing order is still being returned & have now had three increasingly snotty letters from my bank (NationWide) asking me to sort it out
Should i cancel my S/O & do a new one ?

Why don't you have a dormobile conversion on your 110 ? expensive but the best of both worlds & well worth it

what about a defender reversing light got one in the front of the 110 camper, plenty of light & cheap

i took the starter out & stripped out the solenoid to find the two brass contacts were nearly worn through, so i cleaned them up & bent them a bit so they made contact with the spring loaded plunger thing
problem solved for now

Hi, i have got a 1999/2000 2.0 turbo diesel (not td4 ) which has developed a problem over night the car was ok yesterday, but went to start it today, turn the key & nothing the dash lights all come on ok but the starter is not turning,
I opened the bonnet & there is a loud buzzing noise coming from the injector pump when the ignition is switched on i tow started it with the defender & it fired up & ran ok with no problems, turned the enine off & tried to restart it on the key & nothing again
Anyone got any ideas of where to start looking for the problem ?
Cheers Mark

it's true, I spent most of today pondering over wires, I think it is laid out right.
It's just weird as I am running both of the looms from the main batter box out of the upper two holes, means there is the massive round hole in the floor still?
Hi, the three hole in the battery box on my 110 are, The battery negative cable- top right hand hole, Top left hand hole is the alarm immobiliser ecu wiring, - & the large hole on the bottom is the battery positive wire,
hope this helps, Mark B)

why not fit a pair of those seat rail thingies that people with long legs fit to enable the seats to be pushed back a bit further than normal(can't remember what they are called) anyway they will raise the seats by about 30mm. should be enough to clear the battery terminals.

Hi, i've tried the transfer box in high & low ratio's, the noise is still the same Gearbox & t/fer box in neutral coasting, no noise
just looking for idea's as it seems like a lot of work to change the T/box only to find out it is the gearbox !!
cheers, Mark

Hi, i am looking for some advice on a noisy transmission on a 95/96 defender 110 csw, There is a loud whine in all the gears when driving which goes when the clutch is depressed,is this gearbox or the transfer box
The vehicle has been off the road for a couple of years & was ok when it was last used ( ie no transmission noise ) & the oil levels are both correct, The fact that it is noisy in all gears suggests to me that it is the transfer box not the gearbox.
Any advice / suggestions from anyone,
Cheers, Mark
