I thought I'd got over dirty finger nails, but 1 Disco later and I'm up to my elbows! When I'm clean I run Ecomotive Tuning, a mobile ECU remapping firm or playing with The Wife 'n kids. I don't bite and make pretty good tea I'm told;)
  1. Thanks for the replies guys (BB just the info I needed) but this is a land rover and as such I am now having to replace the engine (LR gotta luve 'em! ) so everything is on hold for the moment. Just to top it off the kids set fire to the kitchen so SWMBO has decreed that the decorating comes first (don't know hy I've always liked the smoked glass look for cars, why not try it in the house for a while )
  2. Are they Defender arches or specific to the disco?
  3. I have a set of defender arches on their way to me far a silly cheap amount of money (well beer actually) Has anyone fitted them to a Disco 1 3 door? I like the flared arch look and with spacers and a 2" lift I think they will sit quite well (imho)
  4. Is decorating after a fire :(

  5. Could you replace them with plastic or perspex and look at sliding windows from a rally supplier? Just an idea
  6. I'll be watching this tread closly, I'm at the same point. I've got a 200Tdi and also don't know if I should go street or off road. I can see about a million pounds worth off things that i NEED to buy for it (no honest I do need them really honest).
  7. Thats fine, thats why I said PM me. I don't like it when a thread becomes an advert either
  8. My opinion (as someone thats remaps cars for a living) it is definately worth 'chipping' any turbo diesel. You will notice the difference, be thet improved performance or economy depending on your driving style. I will not advertise on forums, but if you decide to get it done PM me and I'll point you toward someone in your area that I would let loose on my car.
