I have a 1995 3.9V8ES with LPG and have just managed, without particularly trying, 200 miles from 11 gallons of gas. Obviously this doesn't include the petrol used to start and some miles in the morning going to the local shop when the gas doesn't kick in. Most of the trips are commuting in local traffic. I'm happy with this, equivalent to 25+ per gallon at petrol prices and I'm driving a V8!!

I collected my MY95 Disco 3.9 V8 yesterday. Had a 100 mile journey home. Everything was fine except the temp gauge doesn't work. Water is Ok so no probs there. I assume the sender is at the thermostat housing, am I right? I intend to start by replacing this but is there anything else I should be considering first/aswell? All advice gratefully received. Hello I have just bought a 1995 Disco 3.9 ES with LPG conversion. I shall be picking it up within the next few days. Just one question to start with, the seller tells me the airbag light stays on, he says the problem has been sorted but it requires the fault code to be cancelled by a Land Rover dealer. My experience of this in the past is that it costs about £35, is that right? Can it be done by an indie? and if so can anyone recommend anybody in the Portsmouth, Southampton, Chichester area. In fact can anyone recommend a good Landy man in the area for future use please? No doubt in the very near future I shall have many more questions/problems (it's my first Disco but I have had a couple of Range Rovers in the past) TIA Peter
