  3. Hello Just got home with my new toy a swb 1972 Series3 diesel, when i bought it the owner said it had a rattle from the gearbox mainly in 3rd well to me it sounded like i had someone under the floor with a lump hammer so i drove the 180 miles useing just 3 gears!! With a few hours to think about it iám of the opinion the 3rd gear has some teeth missing as the rest seem no more noisy then i was expecting for a series landy, any one have any other ideas?
