I've tried emailing them but get no replies.Failing that do HOFS make their own kit?

    Cheers Eric

  3. God dammit nige, I was looking for that n couldn't find it, right click save as

    ;););)

Mike this forum is a "Hang-mans Court" did you not know that! post on here and your "Shot first and Hung second" whats why i dont post on here!

  4. I personally do not believe for a moment the prize will motivate anyone to do it. The commitment required to compete in the RFC is very great, and whether the entry is free wont be a deal breaker or maker.

Talking numbers: you are going to spend at least 5k doing it, and having free entry saves you 1k. Do all of a sudden hordes of people think were doing it? no.

It is a bit of a pet hate of me, that people say: were doing it without really thinking it through. In the beginning of 2003, there were 6 teams going. There was a plan to have 2 40 feet containers loaded up with 6 cars, and the whole thing would actually be quite affordable. The week before the ship was about to leave, there were me and Bucky left who were going. Then Bucky decided he couldnt make it, and yes there we were: me and my mate mark in our landy were going.

I do wonder whether all these people were ever really planning to go?

It is a big undertaking and I made the decission with christmas 2002, to go in november 2003. This gave me 10 months to organize it (I had to prepare the car as well). It happenned eventually, but in the end it was still the usual chaos (to get ready).

Still, It is by far the best thing I ever did, and all uk events put together quite frankly cant hold a candle to it, and as a result I can say: it was worth every penny.

    Daan

Daan, Mate YES we would have gone! i took part in the Borneo safari event last year.... yes i was only with the recoverey team. I know the RFC event and i'd liked to have tried it! and i know we would not have turned it down if offered! But i would NOT pay to eneter the Borneo Safari as there is not enough comp driving time for me! but if people want a great adventure then they SHOULD GO as you will never forget the trip!!!

  5. teslo,

We will also be taking the event very seriously, well for the first five minutes after which we will get lost, charge about the Romanian woods until stupid o'clock in the morning, then break some thing, hit a tree, roll etc and then repeat this process for the next five days... so looking forward to it :hysterical:

That sounds about right! ;) it's all good fun tho! :):):)

  6. good point... still a good laugh though.

Horses for corses i suppose :D But ur right about it being samey, bin to watch 3 now, by the third i new exactly where to look, mind u i still an't bin to all the sites, Personally cant see the point of all the road traveling, You get enough towing ur car around to and from events, cant see the point of paying somebody ££££ for the privalage :o , must admit the social bit at the end is nice!!

Both event's are only about "the social"...... as th event's are all the same!

  7. Alex mate, the reason some of us are not there is because we are going to the Croatia challenge! Plus you will see the "Ultimate Challenge" is only Santa's with a different name....... Now if it was "the" ultimate challenge then that would be worth entering! but it's not!!! it will be the same site's with the punch's in the same place's!!!!

So why do i want to enter that? been there done that! now go out and "Win it" and move on mate!

  8. well.........

What A day cracking event and a great bunch of competitors! the weather could of been a lot worse but wasn't! Thank god!

Well dont to all involved with setting the comp up! and every one who had a go at finding the punches! :D

Cheers Adrian! for finding the punches :) and for keeping me the right way up! Also well done on your hatrick! won it 3 years on the trot now!

Can you put my name down for next year?

    Dan

Well Dan, as you've now entered it again......... i'll have to come over and try for another win with you mate, your only get lost on your own!! :P
