Good idea, never thought of those, cheers
Good tip
I was hoping for something like this lol, cheers
Yeah, would love to, and I'm sure some people have spare cash for things like a battery, but I dont, especially at this time of year and as mine was given free,
so I wanna use this, hence my post asking how to extend the wires....
My battery has not liked this cold weather and wont start in the mornings, so I guess its on its way out.
I've got a new battery that I would like to use, but the terminals are the wonrg way round, so I need my terminal wires to reach over the battery to the other side. Can anything be done to give them a little extra reach, or will i have to extend them?? How do I go about doing either of these things??
Cheers

Hi all
Thinking of tinting my rear windows myself, done a few simple ones in the past.
One thing worrying me are the heater strips on the rear windows. Will they cause bubbles? if so any tips to stop them?
also the little black dots etc around the edge of the windows, someone said they can be a pain too...
I cant afford a pro job, and really want this done to keep the sun out my kids eyes ( I know there aint much sun here in the uk lol)
all help and advice welcome
Cheers

Nah... I wimped out
Got the kit and its goin in to see my usual mechanic next Tuesday...
I dont mind getting my hands dirty, just dont trust myself with timing yet lol
Cheers
I just wanted to thank everyone who helped my in my previous post HERE
Started this morning, stripped out the console and removed the stuck bits of the transfer box so I could service them (easier out of the car)
Freed everything up, removed the rusty carp from the shaft, greased everything back up and refitted. Replaced the console and its all working and back together.
So Thank you all those that helped
Thats great cheers, just wanting my confidence boosting, and its working lol
If the fuel pump timing did end up slightly out, is that hard to sort?? Just
wanna make sure I have all the tools ready, as I cannot afford my car to be off the road...
So need to have everything ready
Cheers again

Thanks Mobyone, seriously considering doing it ourselves now.
Just out of curiousity, are there any parts that a normally a pain to get off.
I used to have a 300zx twin turbo, and could I get the crank nut loose, nope!!
Just dont wanna strip the landy down and get stuck lol, so if anyone can think of
anything, then I can be prepared, have tools ready just in case etc etc....
I also read I need 2 timing pins, are these daft prices??
Cheers
Firstly let me say I have done a search as I thought this might have been common fault,
but cant seem to find an answer, but I can never find anything I search for lol I am useless
Right, down to business.
Every mornin since it got a bit colder, when I try to start the Landy, it turns over VERY slower and only just starts. Once its started once, its fine for the rest of the day, but come the next morning, slow again.
Whats causing this?? any ideas??
remember I need things explained, as electrics aint my strong point lol
Cheers
i know how to install normal amps with pre outs and power supplies. I assume this amp has its own power supply, or would that have normally come from a plug coming out of the original head unit. normally you would use phono leads to send the audio to the amp, now I dont remember seeing sockets for these on the amp, I have the outputs on the rear of my head unit, so how was the audio delivered to this LR amp??
I guess I know a bit more than I thought lol, and after lookin (properly) at what MrKev said i can see where the power is coming from the ignition. Earth is straight forward enough... "Control signal on Blue / Yellow" whats a control signal?? and finally "The audio comes in on a screened cable" how can I get audio from my head unit through this screened cable to the amp?
Sorry being a bit slow at the mo, currently off ill and my brain aint working that well
Cheers for all you help
I have installed my Sony head unit, and its all working fine, altho tinny with stock speakers. Then I find out there are subs in my tailgate, and a wee amp, but no sound coming from them. I plugged the head unit in using the ISO connector, there was one other lead there unused by me, but I assumed it was for the dash controls for the stock stereo. So now I'm wondering how do I get sound to these subs?? Looked on the Rave cd. but when it comes to electrics, it might as well be written in martian lol...
Anyone know how to do this?? I tried doing a search, but couldn't find the answer...
Cheers
