  1. Nope, you don't ;)

That is indeed the throttle stop, but you do not set the idle speed with it.

Under your thumb in that pic is a cap, prise this out, and underneath is a 1/4" hex grub screw, THIS is your idle bypass screw, and is used to set the idle.

The tiny grub screw you point to is designed to stop the butterfly slamming into the plenum wall each time you let off, and wearing out both components, and probably shouldn't be moved from factory position -I can see no reason to do this.

I read somewhere that there should be a 0.004" gap approx between the butterfly and the housing. Is that the case?

  2. Evening All,

Just put the roof back on my 90 after a long time. I have all the nuts and bolts to fit the roof, but appear to have mislaid the six that fix the windscreen frame at the top. Can some one tell me if they are the nuts attached to plates to stop them spinning whilst being tightened? I have found a couple of these, and it seems to be logical because of access to hold a standard nut. If someone can confirm this, or otherwise, where can I purchase some from.

    Regards

    Jon

  3. I don't know for sure, but in the moist mornings you may get condensation on the plastic. I roofed my garage with the plastic corrugated sheeting, and had lines of drips where the battens were fixed, all along the floor and car. I had to remove the sheeting and put underfelt underneath. Top job now, that was about 12 years ago. The underfelt and plastic are still going strong. My garage is about 12' x 30', although it was built before I had my 90, so I had to remove the roof and door off the 90 to get it in to work on it..lol

  4. Haven't touched MS for ages, but just started to get back into it. I'm sure I read somewhere that it doesn't matter which way round the wires go in the sensors ie water temp, IAT, Is this the case? Also the PWM valve, does it matter which way round the wires go? I think I've got the coil wires the right way round!! If I haven't am I likely to do any damage? Any advice more tha welcome

    Cheers, Jon
