Good to keep this post running for updates as I was about to post "Lack of A/C-common causes please" Got my '94 300Tdi Disco back in January and the A/C appears not to work, though I think some cooler air comes through the vents compared to ambient ram air temp. Have checked fuses and wondered if it was a simple regas required. One point please guys, can you hear an audible click from the compressor clutch when turning the system on and off ?

Thanks again for the info, its just occurred to me though that its the fill plug I need that needs a T55 Torx to remove it. At least I can search the links you advised to find it. Cheers

Thank you for the timely and comprehensive reply with numbers too Les, I had looked in my Rimmer catalogue and online to no avail.

Someone previously has written off the plug on my gearbox, even to the point of attempting to chisel it off ! Would anyone know where I can get one, as its going to be a mess if and when I get it out.
