Checked timing this afternoon, way out, now idles at about 900rpm which is still a tad high but not too bad, getting there, cheers for the help

Been looking through some bits + womdered if anyone has tried the synthetic winch ropes from winch-it?

say they are dyneema sk75 , 11mm

Ive read about a few people buying other products from winch it + being very happy but im a bit jubious about the winch ropes as they are just £166

Any thoughts or experience would be greatly appreciated

Had a good look for air leaks with some wd40 + found nothing, tried pinching extra air valve pipe + even tried unplugging it but still no difference, any suggestions?

Ill check ignition timing over the weekend as the revs take longer to drop than usual too

Just picked up another rangie

3.5 flapper efi

Only problem is that its got a constant high idle, checked throttle cable tension, butterly closes fully, tried idle adjuster under the little cap etc but cannot lower it, any suggestions?

[largest single v alternator?]

300 is alot

I think 1 alternator at 80-100 would be ok for starting battery, 4 electric fans + all the usual bits

Id like a big alternator for the other battery as its for winching, will have a rear winch soon so there will then be a 3rd battery

Is there a way i can have just a poly v belt for winch alternator + v belts for the rest?

Whats the largest single v alternator i could get hold of for sensible money from another car?

Or what multi v alternators can take a single v pulley?

Im doing a twin alternator setup + id like 2 150amp alternators for winch etc

Ive had another look at the label + it says 'WLL 3000kg'

It manufacture date is 10 2006

The bit im not sure what means is M=2.0 etc in the different ways of using it

There are no frays, tears etc + looks to be in good condition

Got a 3m 3.5" wide strap

On the label it says swl 3000kg

Im wondering if this is ok for winch use with my 8000lb inch as it would effectively be doubled up?

Am i right in thinking the swl is rated on the strap in a single straight line?

No experience with them but looking at the gear ratio its going to be very very slow

Id have one though for a rear as it might not be used as much
