  1. thanks for the input

well i changed out the left front sensor(no ac when wheel turned) drove the car.

abs light went out until i turned left straight back on...abs code 5-14.....so i gave i a tap home drove again.....in a straight line its ok as soon as i turn im getting the 5-14 code

need to look at the cv i think... it must be kicking the sensor up

    thanks luke

just to ad the wheel bearing seems good to me no play or noise. also no noise from CV on full lock.......

  3. gents

im having problems with the abs on a 1995 v8i discovery....... the code will not clear from memory...still live?..4-14 seams a funny code not on lists ive seen by googlin... some say its down to abs relay others say front left hand sensor.....i need to be sure...ive cheeked the plugs on and around abs block all look good no corrosion ect....

any one else had this one

    thanks luke

  4. a mate of mine fitted a set a few yeas ago.......the headers he was using were a little on the large side.....meaning they knocked a bit on chassis.....under stationary power....

once fitted the body rolled under stationary revs.......and the headers didnt rattle any more......over five years old now and going strong.....

very nice bit of kit been on my shopping list that long too....as for vibration noise ect good.....

maybe just over kill new rubber mounts are good

  5. Same here!

But with that said, I drove the same trials last weekend that I had to winch myself last year. The added traction from the truetrac's and how it comes on basically seamless really does make a difference....Those new lockers from Brazil are nice though.... ;)

    Todd.

Tuko i saw you youtube video the other day all four turning and going no where......lucky..... because you were filming....then in reverse...lol...nice demo.... :D

  6. No, its an ongoing rebuild and its still not back on the road. In all honesty i don't know how long the pressure has been low for but it started sounding quite tappety the other day and the pressure light came on so obviously i've been trying to sort it since and not running the engine much.

Halfords oil is £20 for 5 litres and from various comments i've read previously i thought it to be amongst the better value oil in that it is both good and reasonably priced. Is Halfords oil proven to be bad or is it a bit of prejudice against the brand?

    hi paul

its not the brand thats most important its the viscosity...sorry didnt realize this engine has had low pressure over time,,

worn bottom end (bearings) is the usual cause of low oil pressure, loads of people go straight for the pump..the oil pressure is built(backed up) up by the bearings.

with your thin oil and wear your gonna have low pressure...

    try thicker oil mate :D

  7. hi

use 24 spline hubs and hub carriers shafts and diff,

ive just done this on mine because of leaking oil on disks,10 spline on hocky sticks,so not an easy axle swap..

i used a 24 spline disco axle for the parts, did need to change a few of the studs on diff for longer ones.

    3 hours job done

    cheers luke

or go to kam im sure there shafts fit with there metric imperial hubs...i may be wrong ask HFH
