Did you try to relock and unlock it with the key? That should work. Usually the problem with rogue signals is increased battery drain due to the BECM waking up all the time. You can disconnect the arial receiver or install a later type receiver that's less affected by other signals.

But if the battery didn't drain and it's just the immobiliser not disengaging, you could simply have that turned off in the BECM.

  2. I have a 01 p38...recent buy.

I parked it  in a shopping centre and when i used the remote to open door it immobilised the jeep by picking up a signal from an ariel near by. It had to be taken by lorry to another location away from the other signal . It started up straight away. The recovery man told me to have it remapped {saudi } or to get a obd reader.....any advice would be great.

    thank you

  3. I have the Death Wobble at 50 as well and according to Western :panhard rod bushes &/or swivel preload, my 110 did a similar wobble on some rough tarmac, swapped the panhard rod bushes & reset the preloads & it's stopped the wobble. it needs the preload adjusting.............I have a td5 with 18 " wheels and i need to know who to go about this.I also dont have a manual.............lorca

  4. In theory the answer is Yes. but in practice it's more complecated. some industrial and household A/C's do switch over to become heat pumps. basicly the Condensor (high pressure) and the Evaporator (low pressure) switch places in the circuit. for this reason the Evaporator may not be rated to the required pressure so might burst. also you would probably have to turn the Expansion valve round in the circuit, and mabey the reciever and the drier. also then you might have problems with the controls.

all sounds very complicated thanks for the detailed explanation.

  5. A radiator muff will help speed up heating. Mine is a Wilko's door mat with some cable ties. Cost about a quid. If you run some string into the cab you can make it controllable

If you search hard enough you may find a lower temp thermostat as well. I used to use an 88º one in the summer and a 72º one in winter. The 72º one is now missing in action in the shed somewhere  . I got it ages ago in Cornwall, Tamar4x4 probably, it was for a ROW spec 300Tdi, Saudi or the like. I'm sure someone with a better memory than me will know the part #.

Thanks for all the advice it looks like a rad muff is the way to go. Where would the best place to buy on be ???
