Looking for a a bit of advice with a non-starting late 300 Tdi.
I bought the Disco a few months ago with non-working central locking, not a huge issue, just have to use the key. All was OK until I noticed a blown fuse in the footwell fuse board, it is the one very bottom on the left relating to the handbook symbol on the diagram. I replaced the fuse, not really knowing what it was for - big mistake. After changing it I found that the central locking was suddenly working - great, or so I thought.
Doing this seems to have awakened the immobiliser, as now it won't start and the immobiliser light is on all the time. I read the thread about bypassing the spider, so I bought the bypass plug, stripped the dash down only to find it hasn't got one. I find now that it has the DDS system
Is there a way of disabling the immobiliser permanently or bypassing the DDS system. I would really like to take the immobiliser right out of the system if possible, or is it a case that I can only run separate feeds to the stop solenoid and the starter motor solenoid. If I do this, presumably the immobiliser light will be on all the time.
Any help is much appreciated.
