  1. Fab Chris thanks! Not been able to get on for a few days, will show to other half for weekend jobby its just bloody annoying!
  2. My 03 Freelander has eleccy fold-in-out mirrors, I left them folded out and without thinking I pushed passenger side one in while trying to get past on the driveway (stupid I know!). Now when I unfold them with the button, the passenger side does a 'click click click' and jumps for about 5secs as if it's popping over whatever stops it from folding outwards. Also stupidly we have tried a couple of things to try and fix it - folding it manually in again (why?) and also folding it past the point of where it stops when folded out (don't ask!). Any ideas on how to stop this clicking? Apart from it being annoying I don't want it to be doing more damage the more it does it. Is it going to need replacement mirror do you rekon? Lisa
  3. Aahhhh my door has started doing this exact same thing, will lock on the fob but not unlock.... however the key DOES go in and turn to unlock, do you think it will need the complete unit to fix? Lisa
  4. You're right, you're right, I think I'll have to give in and get a roof box. The stowaway will always be in my mind though as what could have been - especially when we go away for 2weeks at a time, could really do with that bigger box on the back! Not put it to the boss yet, so there is always hope, however small! thanks guys for all your advice, most helpful site I have found! No doubt I'll be back soon with more questions.
  5. Yeh the only downside - and its a big one is the cost, I mean in the long run for the amount of use id say it was going to get then itd more than pay for itself but its that initial outlay thats the problem. Will check with boss when he gets home on Fri - although I know what the answer will be!
  6. Swingaway seems like the best idea, even if while the box is on we cant open the door fully (obviously door opens sideways being a freelander <1>) being able to open it enough to get dogs in and out is all we need. Woohoo watch out credit card!
  7. Hi guys, firstly thankyou for all of your replies! Well.... yes part of the reason for not wanting a roof box is the dreaded height bars on entry to carparks en route to campsites..... another reason is that I'm only 5'2" and the other half not much taller! so access to it would be difficult. It'll mainly be used for clothes and boots etc, some dog stuff maybe. most of the camping equipmemt & "harware" will be on back seats, which I will have to keep in - as once we are unloaded car will still need to be useable for ferrying people around. Going to have a look at the links you have sent to see what I can find Thank you very much again
  8. Hi everyone, Relatively new Landy owner here (coming up to 1yr) and newbie to the site so please be gentle! We camp alot but unfortunately two dogs have now claimed the boot space so only have back seat to pack on! Other half wants a roof box but I'm not keen, I'd prefer one to go on the back, spare wheel mounted like some bike racks are - but I'm struggling to find what I want. The closest I've found is in the link below but is towbar mounted so at service station stops - of which there are alot - we would need to fully take it off to let dogs out, which is just not practical. http://www.car-roofracks.co.uk/backup-900-rear-mount-box.htm Hoping someone will know of a spare wheel mounted one or possibly have another suggestion (apart from getting rid of the dogs!) Thanks in advance Lisa
