  1. Sounds good, thanks for that.....be prepared for further daft questions!!🤓
  2. Thanks Bowie69, I thought that if I put the gearbox as datum then everything standard would fit?
  3. Hello all, I'm back! Got a 96 Disco with auto box to go into 86 110 CSW. Any help and advice appreciated. To put the box and engine into 'correct' position, is it the case to use a 300tdi crossmember for the box and move forward accordingly? Any pitfalls with this?
  4. Hi, I have a 2003 L322 td6 with 100k. I live in N. Ireland and wanted to change the gearbox oil and filter. Locally the oil is £16+vat PER LITRE!!!! 10 litres required that's almost £200 !!!!! The filter is £150.... So I went on the hunt...got the filter on eBay for £64......result. Found the oil for sale by Fleet Factors for .......12 x 1 litre containers £55+vat.... or.... 1x20 litre container £60+vat. I paid £30 for courier for the oil, a mate is splitting it with me so its £50 each, as opposed to £200 !!! It's the 7045e oil so it the proper stuff. I'm just letting you all know that there's a cheaper alternative to paying full whack!!! Cheers, Keith
  5. No mate, it's a stock gearbox, linkage etc, all ok by the manual etc.... Got it working then had to gasket it, duh, first time was luck!!!!
  6. I have a 1987 110 CSW, I bought it with the gear stick in the boot! The previous owner had tried to fix the linkage but couldn't put it back. I've taken 4 goes at it... I've got the manual... Still not going to plan.... Any tips????
